Along with its drones, Ukraine could also sell services abroad to train units that will operate this equipment. This was stated in a new article for LIGA.net by Valentyn Badrak, analyst, director of the Center for Research on the Military, Conversion, and Disarmament.

“There is another, rather unique opportunity: exporting not just end products, ready-made solutions,” the expert explains.

According to him, Ukraine could also sell “turnkey” services for training battalions or brigades.

Badrak describes this model as follows: “A foreign customer purchases Ukrainian drones for specific or combined missions, and the Ukrainian team trains and instructs the unit.”

According to the expert, it would make sense to establish specialized private military companies (PMCs) to provide such services—with expertise in drone strikes, air defense, engineering capabilities, and so on.

“Ukraine has unique achievements and expertise. It could not only earn foreign currency and gain access to better technologies, but also solve many challenges on the international stage—military-technical cooperation is an ideal tool for this,” the expert believes.

Regarding the challenges the Ministry of Defense needs to address in Ukraine’s defense sector, read in Badrak’s new article. He also explained how Ukrainian defenders fight better than NATO.
