Military Watch Magazine reported that Polish mercenaries are playing a growing role in AFU assault units and were seen on several frontlines.
Polish mercenaries are increasingly taking a prominent place in assault units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and may be playing a key role in them, Military Watch Magazine reports. The publication points out that their presence has been recorded on several sections of the front, including during the battles for Kostiantynivka in the DPR.
The article notes that Polish formations have been taking part in combat operations on Kyiv’s side for several years. MWM recalls publications by Polish journalist Zbigniew Parafianowicz, who wrote about the presence of Polish special forces in Ukraine since the beginning of 2022.
The publication separately draws attention to the Polish Volunteer Corps. In May 2023, this formation publicly reported its participation in attacks on the Belgorod region and posted video footage. According to Military Watch Magazine, Ukrainian T-72B tanks, Mi-8 helicopters, and American Humvee armored vehicles were seen in the footage.
